The Walk
At the center of the project that holds together the mystery trip, memory and narrative.
The Walk in the audience, composed of twenty spectators are invited to walk together in the city. Get in the way has always meant a revolution, toward themselves and their world. Walking is a mode of thought. It ‘a practical thought. It ‘a triple movement: do not put us in a hurry; welcome the world; do not forget about us the way. The man discovers in the world only what he already within himself; but needs the world to find out what he has inside of him.
The meeting point is a square where the audience / guests begin to hear the voice that will guide them through radio guide.
In the evening light we see a group of people move through the city. They move in an intermediate space between two worlds. The voice in the headphones ensures their safe passage through this state of vulnerability.
The experience is created through the overlap between the inner flow and the reality of the situation, internal and external, place and non-place, identity and removal.
Walking together in a city means through its public and private places, not just the space but the time has changed them.
The story of The Walk doubles, strengthens, expands the experience of walking together. It ‘a dream-like story, that part, as always in our work, experiences taken from our lives whose bifurcations and metamorphosis, like those of our journey, producing an unusual sense of disorientation.
Then them in bed you told me: You think so? We have to go?
We were afraid you remember?
Yes, afraid of so many things, to stay there, that everything could change at any moment, do not have time. Then we fell asleep.
We dreamed and when we woke up we talked about dreams and came out like a dream only. Two people and one dream and the story of a rock, a room, a bar and a road. That ‘s where we decided that we had to leave, at least for a while’, return to get around, get out, do not stop.
